Local MP Sussan Ley has announced two major grants to help foster the local arts scene in Albury-Wodonga.
As part of funding for 20 regional arts projects inside the Festivals Australia program, AlburyCity has received a grant of $36k for the upcoming ‘Upstream’ arts and culture festival being staged in early March.
An initiative of the border’s Two Cities One Community collaboration, the funding will allow four local artists to be mentored and trained in animation and projection techniques.
A second grant comes under our government’s Visions of Australia program for 13 exhibitions to tour venues across regional Australia.
$45k has been awarded to Albury’s LibraryMuseum to help foster their collaboration with ‘Earth Canvas’, which links artists and regenerative farming.
The aim is to share the vision and creativity of local farmers and their environment, with the artist’s impression of that same landscape.
The Australian Government is proud to help promote innovative and competitive communications and arts sectors. Through analysis, advice and programs we aim to make digital technologies, communications services and cultural experiences better for everyone.
