Did you know Wentworth’s Military Museum will be hosting Remembrance Day tours from 10am this Wednesday?

Despite Covid-19 health and social distancing restrictions, the museum is among many locations across Farrer which will again pause to honour the fallen at 11am on the 11th of November.

Tragically, through over a century of service in conflicts or peacekeeping operations, more than 102,000 Australian men and women have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

While public events are limited this year, there are many ways you can continue to honour our veterans on Remembrance Day, 2020.

It could be attending a small ceremony at one of the local RSL services*, spending a quiet moment in remembrance at home, donating to help a veteran in need or simply wearing a red poppy to show they will never be forgotten.

You can also share a personal commemoration on social media by using the #RemembranceDay or #1MS (One Minute’s Silence) tags.

Wherever you are and however you may wish to commemorate those who gave up their lives for us, I encourage you to remember to remember.

*An exemption will apply for NSW Remembrance Day services to allow gatherings of up to 100 people in a COVID Safe way. Gathering is conditional on adherence to 4sqm rule and a COVID-Safe Plan being in place – more details are here.
