Member for Farrer Sussan Ley MP today officially opened new facilities at Trinity Anglican College in Thurgoona.
Students and staff at Trinity now have full use of a nine general senior school learning areas, an additional administration space and two shared learning areas, with the Australian Government contributing $750,000 from the Capital Grants Programme toward the new facilities.
“I was pleased to visit Trinity Anglican College and to see these new facilities firsthand. I also would like to commend Trinity Anglican College for their own contribution of more than $2.3 million toward this project,” Ms Ley said.
“Students and the whole school community will see the benefit of this investment for years to come.
“These new facilities come in addition to the record levels of funding the Turnbull Government is delivering that will continue to grow into the future, with total Commonwealth funding to all schools across NSW to increase by $1.2 billion, a 24.7 per cent increase from 2015–16 to 2019–20.
“While buildings alone do not make a great school, I know that the students and staff of Trinity Anglican College enjoy these new amenities and are inspired by them.
“The Coalition is committed to improving the quality of our schools and equipping students with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive world,” Ms Ley said.
