Member for Farrer Sussan Ley joined students and staff today at St Joseph’s Primary School in Culcairn to help open the school’s rebuild of new general learning areas and an administration block.
The Coalition provided $875,139 towards the project through the Capital Grants Program, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure.
The entire works delivered a new school complex and renovations for three new classroom spaces, an open learning area and administration wing – the redevelopment also built a new canteen, verandas and storerooms.
“It was great to visit St Joseph’s Primary School to see the new facilities and hear about the positive impact they will have on local students,” Ms Ley said.
“This is a wonderful school community, and these new classrooms and the Mary Mackillop Centre renovations will really enhance the learning environment.
St Joseph’s Primary School is a Catholic, coeducational school with approximately 57 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
