Does your community or sporting group need a kitchen upgrade for the clubroom, new equipment, an updated computer, or maybe just a general touch up? What about new goalposts or spectator seating to help support the team, medical equipment, or maybe it’s to provide disability access?
Farrer MP Sussan Ley says there are many ways to strengthen our local communities, and these are just some of the projects which can be delivered through the latest round of the Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Program (SCP).
“Expressions of interest from people and organisations for Round 8 of the SCP open from Monday (13 Feb).
“Once again funding of between $2,500 to $20,000 will be made available for small-scale projects, with a total of $150,000 available in Farrer – among $22m to be spread evenly through every federal electorate across the country.
“This type of local spending for in-need projects helps bring community, sporting and social groups together. Government assistance is also vital right now, with cost-of-living pressures on household budgets often limiting club fundraising activities.”
Only projects approved by a local selection committee will be able to apply for a grant. In the first instance, please click here to check your eligibility – then register for an expression-of-interest (E.O.I) form via email [email protected] – or call 02 6021 3264.
Applications for this EOI are now open, with submissions due back by Tue 21 March.
