This coming Sunday we celebrate Australia Day right across the country.
It is a day to reflect both on our past and where we are going as a nation – to listen to one another and respect each of the unique stories and contributions which make up our great land.
While we live in a beautiful country, it also presents harsh challenges such as fire, flood and drought.
In Farrer this year many of us will have a focus on those who are battling drought and more recently the local bushfires.
Each of our local government areas will be marking 26 January with events and ceremonies. To find out more link below or call your council for details.

Australia owes much of its success to our shared values of respect for freedom of the individual, democracy, commitment to the rule of law and equality for all individuals regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, fairness, respect and tolerance.
That is something worth celebrating.
Happy Australia Day!
