The countdown is on for Albury-Wodonga when it hosts the national launch of the Australian Government’s flagship community event for the Centenary of ANZAC.

The Spirit of ANZAC Centenary Experience kicks off in one week on 04 September.

This travelling exhibition makes its first stop at the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre, with a host of dignitaries and border region locals the first to attend the landmark initiative.

Member for Farrer, Sussan Ley, said “our community has a once in a lifetime chance to attend the exhibition and see priceless artefacts from the Gallipoli Campaign, as well as immersing themselves in Australia’s involvement in the entire First World War, including the Western Front and the Middle East.”

“This is the first time many of these rare artefacts have toured Australia, so visiting the exhibition will be a truly unique way our community can engage with the Centenary of ANZAC, the nation’s most significant period of commemoration.”

Entry to the exhibition is free but bookings are essential as places are limited. Registration for individuals and groups of up to thirty people can be made at www.spiritofanzac.gov.au

For people without internet access, The Cube Wodonga box office is also able to assist with online registrations or you can call 1300 462 313.

The Spirit of ANZAC Centenary Experience will visit Albury Wodonga from 04 – 10 September.
