Businesses, councils and not-for-profit groups in Farrer have an opportunity to secure funding from the Murray Darling Basin Regional Economic Diversification Programme, to help create more jobs and to strengthen and help diversify our local economy.

Federal Member, Sussan Ley, has welcomed the announcement by the Commonwealth and NSW governments that $14.1 million of funding will be allocated to communities most impacted by the Murray Darling Basin Plan.

According to Ms Ley, “the primary aim for the second round of funding is to support employment growth, businesses and industry in our area and I strongly encourage local organisations to explore their options when more details are released late this month”.
